hi Yashgeet Saluja,
In the attached file you appended "aa" after the @ that is why it is saving as expected.
It should throw the error as we are saving it without giving ".com" . Validation is not working properly.
Yes, it should, but it is not the by default behavior, Sugar currently supports just @xyz. Maybe in future releases it will support @xyz.xyz
Hi Yashgeet Saluja,
Product defect # 81603 (you must be a support-authorized contact to view this link) was previously filed for this issue. I recommend that you or the appropriate support-authorized contact file a case with Sugar Support referencing this defect, and they should be able to provide you updates on the status as it progresses towards resolution.
Hi everybody,
I'm also facing this issue, it's a pity that it is still open and not fixed ... hope we can have a solution quickly for the future releases.
Best regards,
Enes
According to the standard RFC 5322 https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc5322 an email address consists of localpart@domain.
domain can be an ip address or any domain name, top level included, So god@all is a valid email address as me.and.you@crm.myserver.info.
The local part even can contain very country specific characters like äöü or even apostrophes as we have it in French email addresses e.g prud‘homme@sncf.fr.
