Error on updating local Sugar instance to 8.3

I updated the Sugar instance hosted in the vagrant box on my localhost from 8.2 to 8.3 by 1) replacing all files and folders in the root directory with those from a backup of our production instance and 2) loading the MySQL dump files that were included in the backup into my local database. After I did that, I was able to log in and open the dashboards in the Home module with no problems. But when I try to go to the Admin page, I get a blank page with an error: "Sugar CRM 8.2.0 Files May Only Be Used With A Sugar CRM 8.2.0 Database". What are the possible reasons that would throw this error, considering that all the files and the database are from Sugar 8.3?
