Converting a Lead does not link Opportunity

When I convert a Lead and choose to create an Opportunity. The Opportunity does not link to link to the Lead. The Account links correctly. I checked the Opportunity does get created. I cant see any obvious errors in the Apache logs or SugarCRM logs.

There is a documented bug on this, I do not remember for which version 8+ but I believe it has been corrected.

The issue you are explaining is related to a regression defect that surfaced on version 8.0.0. We have developed a patch to correct this functionality in our upcoming 8.0.2 release.
