Query registration ID

When consultig or adding information to Sugar CRM from an integration, is it possible to the system in the accounts and contacts modules to identify an unique record using data different from the Sugar ID such as identification number and document type?

Hi Juan Hoyos,
Yes, you can query the data in Sugar based on any fields available within the module. For eg: if your integration insert or update data into sugar accounts module and you want to check if there is already an entry available in accounts module with registration_no = "XYZ", you can make an API call to Sugar and if exists, it would be returned in the API call and hence you can trigger an update call instead of insert.
