We use the Cases module heavily including Case Creation from Email and Customer Self Service Portal. Sometimes we need to link additional Contacts to a Case.
When we click the link existing option on the Contacts sub panel in the Case, a filter kicks in that only shows Contacts for the Account linked to the Case .This is fine but we would like to improve that filter to further limit the list of contacts (by default) to say for example exclude contacts who are no longer employed by that Account (we have a field in contacts for that). At the moment if a lot of contacts display, it is quite cumbersome, although search usually sorts it. Just need a more streamlined solution.
We can't see a way to do that using Studio - we are Sugar On Demand 8.2 Enterprise.
Would this require a logic hook or it is not possible as it is base Sugar Code. I imagine this would be a typical use case for others where they need this type of improved filtering for other modules and linking related records.
