Errors communicating with when installing the SDK

I'm getting connection refused and connection timeout errors when trying to run install on the sdk. MacOSX 10.13.4


I've followed the instructions (in the readme) so the suggested location is 



The shell errors are:

Error encountered. Aborting!


I've tried running this on different networks with different DNS servers and I sometimes get timeouts rather than connection refused. 


Are there any suggestions?
