I have 3 fields. One is a date. ($report_due_c)

Another is a number of days for extensions. ($exntionnew_c)

Last is one that adds the extension to that date. (Due Date) Within it, using the formula builder of an On Demand Latest version of Sugar, I have this formula: addDays($report_due_c,number($exntionnew_c))

If no date is in report_due_c, all fields show blank in sugar, as expected. If there is a date all works as expected.

My problem is that in reports, there is a date if its intended to be blank: 11/30/-0001

The formula builder isnt allowing me to do what I think the formula may be. Any help would be appreciated. I want to have the date show blank in reports without 11/30/-0001.

Iv tried this:

ifElse(equal($report_due_c, ""), null, addDays($report_due_c,number($exntionnew_c)))

So If field is blank, be null. Otherwise add days. Iv tried quotes too.

Any suggestions?

I have basically the same question. I have date-type calculated fields where if the calculation should result in an empty date I get 11/30/-0001.

I am trying to input an empty date in my ifElse with both an extra field I created called empty_date_c that never has a value and with date("").

Both methods result in a value of 11/30/-0001.

How can we have a calculated date field produce an empty, or null value, result?
