Hi. we are unable to add hyperlinks to descriptions or notes.
pasting a link does nothing, href also doesn't produce any results. we are on version 7.9.1
Hi Igor Zaikawould you provide some details regarding the task you are trying to solve?
Good morning. Use case is pretty simple. I had a meeting with a client and they’ve provided a link to meeting minutes via box or Dropbox. I would like to add that link to notes as a part of conversation history or maybe a reference to clients website.
I hope this make sense.

Hi Igor Zaika
Descriptions and Notes are plain text only, so they do not support hyperlinks. Instead you would need to create a custom field from template html, which does support html entities.
Thank you Andre.
Is there a way to change those fields to html?
We are planning to upgrade to version 8.0
Do we have some improvements there that?
Ability to paste links and pictures into description like in Zendesk or Asana would greatly improve user experience.
That is easy!
Basically you need to create an extended vardefs for Notes with a code like that:
<?PHP$dictionary['Note']['fields']['description']['type'] = 'html';$dictionary['Note']['fields']['description']['dbType'] = 'text';
$dictionary['Note']['fields']['description']['type'] = 'html';
$dictionary['Note']['fields']['description']['dbType'] = 'text';
After saving the file go to Admin -> Repair -> Quick Repair and Rebuild.
