Update "Assigned to" based on that of a Related Module

I would like to create a Call that is related to a Case. Currently when I do this, the "Assigned to" field in the Call screen defaults to the user who is logged in. I would like the "Assigned to" field on the Call screen to mirror the "Assigned to" User of the Case upon save so that they receive notification. I am unable to figure out how to do this through Workflow. I'm not sure if I am missing something.

 

Does anyone have any input on this?
