I am having to migrate away from MS SQL Server 2008 to MySql as want to use SugarCRM 7.9
Are there any tools/documentation that will help, are there pitfalls, is it possible?
Any help much appreciated.
I don't have any personal experience with doing this kind of migration for SugarCRM, but I don't think there are going to be any particular issues with Sugar itself. Using any sort of guide (like the one from the MySQL website) should be sufficient for this.
I hope that helps!
There is no need for you to migrate firstly to MySql and then to SugarCRM. You can take advantage from an automated import service Data2CRM that will transfer your data directly from MS SQL Server 2008 to MySql with the ability to map modules and free Demo.
Hope my answer will help you!
