Formula Builder; Multiplying 2 fields?

So, I'm looking to create a new field called 'factored revenue'.

This is the formula I created but doesn't work - multiply(number($amount),number($opp_percentage_c))

So as you can see I want the amount multiplied by a percentage but I'm really struggling to get this working; any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jame,
It should be divide(multiply(number($amount),number($opp_percentage_c),100)

Awesome! Looks like just one parenthesis is missing towards the end:
divide(multiply(number($amount),number($probability)),100)

Hi there
Sorry for highjacking this thread. I have a similar problem.
I have a field that stores values like 100%, 66% as text. I want to convert them to number so that I can use them in other calculations and listviews etc.
However the formula, number(text%) doesn't do the job - just returns blanks. I have tried editing/saving records but nothing.
What am i missing??!!!
