'is within range'

I've got this far but get 

ifElse(isWithinRange($amountbidfor_c),0,9999),"A",ifElse(isWithinRange($amountbidfor_c),10000,24999),"B",ifElse(isWithinRange($amountbidfor_c),25000,49999),"C",ifElse(isWithinRange($amountbidfor_c),50000,99999),"D",ifElse(greaterThan($amountbidfor_c),100000),"E","")))))

Any ideas?

Here's the formula, if anyone else has the same issue:

Tell me more.  What do you do with the A,B,C,D,E values?

Sort in a filter?  Report?

Have you written a stylesheet that colors list views?

I needed this because I've been asked to produce a report and dashboard that groups our opportunity values into bands. Haven't written the reports yet  but this should do it.

Can't help with the colour list views, they only let me mess with the Admin stuff :-)
