Is it possible to set default user's team for newly created reports?

Users can change the default teams in the User Preferences -> Advanced tab. So you could add one or more private teams instead of the Global team there.

Dennis' answer is correct if you are willing to make that setting globally.  Are you looking for a global setting or are you looking for a setting that is unique to reports? 

Yeah just to clarify, the Knowledge Base article is for setting it to the global team but in this usecase you can of course use the same steps to add a private team instead. With that the report will only be visible to the users in that private team.
