I would like to ask for Sugar's support to export data in CSV format instead of we do it ourselves.
How do I go about this?
Look forward to your reply. Thanks!
Hi Leno Saw,
If your instance is hosted on-site (which I'm assuming based on your categorization of this post as "Sugar 6.x"), you can see information on exporting your database through this knowledge base article. This is a database export though, not a CSV export.
CSV exports can be performed through each module. Instructions can be found in our Application Guide with additional situational explanations in the Knowledge Base.
Sugar does not have the option to export all data at once to CSV so these two options would be the best places to start, depending on what the reason is for the export.
If your instance is hosted in our On-Demand environment, you can file a case to request a backup (database export).
Hope this helps!
Hi Alex Nassi,
We have our data stored in the CRM vendor's server. Can SugarCRM access to the data and export it in CSV for us?
I tried to file a case via Case Portal but the system requires me to fill in Subscription Key, which I don't know where can I get this key. Can you advise?
Leno Saw - Your subscription key is provided when you purchase one of our commercial editions of Sugar. Are you using Community Edition, or one of our paid, commercial editions (Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate)? Support is only provided for those commercial editions.
If you want to export the desired data from ‘Module List Views’ or related ‘Sub Panels’ in the CSV, PDF and XLS formats using sugarCRM plugin, then there is one plugin available, SugarCRM advanced export. This plugin enables SugarCRM users to extract, send and retain the relevant records from their SugarCRM system.
