Does anyone have any advice on whether to create custom modules to exactly meet the needs of the business, or if I should repurpose the existing out-of-the-box modules?
My original thinking was to design a custom modules solution that mimicked the data schema (ERD, even) model. A "people" module that had a one-to-many relationship with other custom modules like "events", "clubs", and "testimonials".
However, I got the advice to take the existing modules, add custom fields and update the layouts (to hide any irrelevant fields), and of course rename the modules.
I don't have any need for the out-of-the-box reports, and would be creating new reports.
