Is it possible to allow users to view Tweets in Dashlet without having their own twitter account?
Anyone know this one, or confirm just not possible?
Hi Tony Romano,
A twitter account is required in order for users to be able view tweets:
Without this, the user is unable to log into Twitter to view the tweets.
I have not seen this work without a Twitter account.
Thanks, but I was wondering if a customisation could be done so that the API credentials in admin would allow users to view Tweets?
Have an enterprise customer saying they don't wish to ask all 100 users to create their own Twitter accounts.
Their wish makes sense to me, so hopefully this can be addressed somehow?
There is an existing enhancement request to add this feature to Sugar that you can follow here. One of these tools found in Sugar Exchange may prove useful to you. You could, in theory, build your own tool to make an API call to Twitter and display it within Sugar's Dashlet. However, in terms of how Sugar is built today, there is no way to perform this task out of the box.
I see that request is 2 years old and not updated since.
Maybe you can convert this post into an idea on here to gauge interest?
I honestly think that most of your large corporate customers Sugar desires would want this.
Imagine having to ask hundreds of staff to create their own Twitter account just to view the customer Tweets :-(
