Disable automated email when contacts are added to case

I am an a new administrator to an instance of SugarCRM Version 6.5.18. I had someone ask if I  could disable the feature in which contacts that get added to case automatically get an email. I have checked around the settings and for any obvious reference in the folder structure. Could someone please point me into the direction to disable this? Thank you so much for your time!
