Email setting password get blank once i save the settings.
Required permission also there.
Can you check the sugarcrm.log and apachec error.logs when this happens
No error in CRM log

Have you found the correct answer to your question.
If you are referring to this password setting after you have saved in admin -> email settings it is not an issue to worry about.Sugar hides the password.I have also cross checked in tpl file for this and there is no value for the input field.Please let us know if this is only the issue you are talking about or another.

Can you update which table you are checking.outbound_email right.
You can also debug in this way
include/OutboundEmail/OutboundEmail.php in save function

remove your sugarcrm.log file and and update your password and check in the generated log file.
and these are the other two files which you can debug when you click test email
Make sure "Allow users to use this account for outgoing email: " is checked.
If "Allow users to use this account for outgoing email: " is unchecked then email address & password capturing login user.

I have tried Admin->emailsettngs checking it but the password remains blank.
Please once check "vendor/phpmailer" in small letter directory name.
Can you please brief me further about the directory you have mentioned.
What i have found that the html for the page is coming from modules/EmailMan/tpls/config.tpl and i dint find value in the input field for the password.
Can you define exact path for "Vendor/phpmailer"

Ishani Lad, what version of Sugar are you using? You tagged this question with 6.x, but can you please provide the full version (6.#.#)?
Also, please try going to Admin > Email Settings, enter and save your password, and then trigger an email without reopening the Email Settings page (say, through a workflow or assignment notification). Does the email send? If it doesn't, is there an error in sugarcrm.log when the email fails to send?

I am using 6.5.11
I get test mail from email setting but not received from workflow. and when I check in DB, password is blank.only first time it get saved and once I test it get blank.
Any other way to do the same?
I remember a few versions of 6.5.x had this issue and, in checking our bug portal, I believe this was finally fixed in 6.5.16 with #65271 and #56283.
6.5.x is now up to 6.5.26 (Versions 6.5.26, 184.108.40.206, and 220.127.116.11 have been released! ) so I believe that upgrading past 6.5.16 should fix this issue (in addition to many other bugs and security fixes).
