Hi there, is it technically possible to change the behaviour on sugarCRM so that the association of an email at the account level is stored?
If we have a contact, John Doe, who works at ABC and has emails that are currently viewable at the account level and contact level and the contact then changes accounts and now belongs to XYZ we are updating the email addresses and assigning the new account.
The issue is we wish for those old emails to be linked to the old company ABC and his contact. They should not be viewable under the new company hence why adding the new email address and leaving the old makes if viewable under both.

Is this an issue just for emails or for all methods of contact (e.g. calls?).
If this is a problem just for emails: You could archive the emails against the Account when you archive emails. You could potentially log that email as one of the account emails rather than a contact email.
If it's a problem for all the related data, I'd suggest you just change the name of the contact to 'Jerry Smith [Archived]' and create a new Jerry Smith at the new company.
