Case Number blank on workflow

I'm trying to create a workflow that sends an e-mail to my costumer when a new case is created, containing the case number and the creation date. But when this case is created by the internal users, via a call from costumer, the e-mail is sent without the case number and the creation date. Can anyone help me?
