Add View Change Log Button in Custom Module

Do you not see it in the drop-down menu?

No, it is not present in the dropdown menu.

You can manually add it with a bit of custom development.

Change Log button metadata looks like this:

I was able to cut and paste the "buttons" portion of the code on that documentation example.  I edited it to the buttons I needed and it now works on my custom module.
