Email notification on resume date

I believe that in this instance you would have to have a start event before this point (e.g. when the resume date is entered) and then have a Wait event that is 2 days before that date.

I was hoping to have a solution to start a process when the date is (Resume date - 2 days). In your solution I will have in waiting mode all created cases.

But it seems to be impossible.

You should be able to trigger a Workflow when the Case is saved, though I'm not sure about the "two days before", I've not used workflows much at all, and as I recall "Time Elapsed" schedulers are for time after you saved the case. You'll need to see if your criteria can be met.

The other option which will certainly work is a custom scheduler that runs nightly and selects all Cases that have matching criteria and sends the email. This requires some programming but should be fairly straightforward

I don't use the workflow but the process. Process will replace workflow on the next update.

I will test with a custom scheduler.
