Workflow Automation Getting Display Value of Drop Down Fields

Question

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to create a workflow where by the Display label of a drop down list is input into an Alert indicating the new selected value.

I have the alert firing when the value of the drop down is changed, but I would like for my workflow to be able to display the selected Value in an Email Alert \ Text Input fields on a related module.

When I go to update the text Field of the file I can set it AS "" and manually type it in, but I would like this to be the display label of the drop down.

Do you know if this is possible?

Hi Gavan,

For email alerts this should be possible, you can create an email template that contains the variable of that field, see the following example:

Copying values to other fields via an action is currently not a functionality, there is an open enhancement request for that:

However for these more complex actions you can always use logic hooks, which would allow to set up any action programmatically
