I have been tasked with creating an e-mail campaign for an upcoming event in April and I have been asked to do so with Sugar CRM. My problem is that I have little to no experience with this system. I have been trying to configure the e-mail settings on the system and allow me to send mail from the campaign I have created. However, I have hit a wall 'so to speak' regarding this matter.
I have successfully configured, the settings under the 'E-mail Settings' tab and have been able to successfully send and receive test files using SMTP. However, Although I can send test emails through this tab, I'm getting a error message when I attempt to configure the outbound settings in the same manner. The message is as follows. '[CLOSED] IMAP connection broken (server response)'.
Is there a specific error for this or a solution I should be aware of?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
After playing with it a bit more, I have noticed that the server address for the IMAP setting was different from the SMTP. Correcting this and inserting the correct IMAP server address and port fixed my issue.
