Can saved listview filters be made available to all end users?
This is currently not possible, but we are working on implementing this for a future version of Sugar. You can create and share reports, though, which will allow multiple users to view records filtered by the same criteria, subject to their team/role restrictions. The "Current User" filter will adapt the results to the user running the report.

Not being able to share filters like this is a huge pain point for us. We are about to go live in a few weeks with 700+ users, and we simply do not have time to train all of them how to create their own custom filters. Why can't the admin push filters out to every user?
As Jill stated, it is not possible to do it from the UI or through built-in functionality, but it is possible to do it through code.
For example, say I wanted to create a filter that all users should have by default and searched the Accounts module for records where city = 'Los Angeles.' I can create the metadata for the filter and then apply it globally. Users wouldn't have to do anything and it would automatically appear as an option for them.
Should you wish to have some measure of control over which users get that same filter, it can be done, but requires a bit more code than just the filter metadata.
Here is an example of how to create metadata for a filter of this type:
Thank you for the response. But I am not a developer, nor do we have one in-house. We have to outsource this kind of development work. It's unfortunate that this isn't a simple configurable item in the Admin area. I appreciate your prompt, detailed instructions though. I wish I could use them.
Not being able to share filters is also problematic when using the mobile app, since filters must be created on a user's desktop, under their own login, prior to being available on the app.
It would be nice if we could at least create filters and assign them to another user. This would be helpful for people who are traveling most of the time and rely on the mobile app. It would allow home office support to create filters on the fly for those in the field who may need something in a timely fashion.
