Upload/add an inline image to a TinyMCE textarea

Question asked by spark2 on Jan 24, 2016

I managed to override some TinyMCE stuff to allow the user to link to an image in the TinyMCE textarea but finding the link is somewhat tricky for the user especially if they need to do a lot of these.

Has anyone been able to modify TinyMCE so that the user can attach an existing (or even new) SugarCRM document inline into the textarea?

I'm thinking along the lines of a document modal dropdown with a callback.
