How  SugarCRM CE handles contact history?

Can you elaborate on what you are wanting to see done? If you just change the information in a contact, it won't necessarily delete the related records such as notes. If you change a contact to a new account, records that were related to that contact should continue to be related.

Thank you for our answer. I was looking for the second option, where you change a contact to a new account. The information regarding the previous account will be kept, right ? I will know that he used to work for company A, but know works for company B, right ?

Hello Daniel,

The information in the Contact that belongs to that Contact will stick. However, if you move a Contact to a new Account, anything related to that Account may be lost as a result. However if it's related directly to the Contact, it should be good to go.
