After installing v.7.6.1.0 Ent on Windows Stack:  Error: Could not connect to the Sugar Server. Please check your Proxy Settings

After installing Sugar Ent v.7.6.1.0 on a Windows Stack running on a VM in Hyper-V, I receive the following error:  Error: Could not connect to the Sugar Server. Please check your Proxy SettingsThe error also occurs if I deploy the Windows Stack in a VM running on Virtual Box.  This does not happen with a LAMP stack (Ubuntu 12.04 or CentOS 7, so it appears to be an issue with the Windows stack.

 

My stack consists of:

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter
  • IIS 8.5
  • MS SQL 2012 R2
  • PHP 5.3.25
  • php_sqlsrv_53_nts.dll
  • Elasticsearch 1.3.1

 

I can get around the issue via manual validation, but I am not using a proxy server, and I have turned my firewall off for testing purposes. 

 

There are no entries in sugarcrm.log relating to this.  Sugar appears to function correctly in all other aspects.

 

Has anybody else experienced this problem?  If so, what steps were taken to resolve it?
