Assigning a Customer Account to a Reseller

Sorry for what is a most likely a newbie question.

I have a reseller working for my organisation.

The reseller is added as an account (type "reseller").

One customer is handled through the reseller.

They have also had an account added for them (type "customer").


I want to set the "Assigned To" field to indicate that the customer is handled by the reseller.

However SugarCRM will only allow me to assign staff working for my organisation.


What is the correct way to handle this?
