smtp gmail and managed accounts

I'm having a strange issue.  Gmail managed accounts will not relay emails while the account of the default server configuration will.

The default server configuration is setup under an email that is the managing gmail account of other managed accounts, lets call it person@company.com .  I'm trying to send an email from another account person2@company.com, but it doesn't work, only for person@company.com.

When I look at the system log I get this error:

SMTP -> ERROR: Password not accepted from server. Code: 535 Reply: 5.7.8 Username and Password not accepted. Learn more at
535 5.7.8  https://support.google.com/mail/answer/14257 r9sm10836484pdp.5 - gsmtp

Ok, so I know of this, I go there and the links provided on the support do not work for person2.  If I click on the link on "allow less secure apps" it does not work, it says this is not allowed from that user.  I'm getting frustrated.  Has anybody had to deal with this and is there a fix??
