I am having an error where I'm being redirected to the login page from the admin console in an infinite loop. I tried the command line rebuild and repair but it's not fixing the issue. I tried deleting the cache folder, that didn't work. What is causing this?
This issue was a known defect earlier versions of Sugar, but appears to have been fixed in versions 7.2.0 and later. Can you test out a workaround to see if it's the same issue? In php.ini, set session.cookie_lifetime = 0, then restart your web server and test the issue again. Let me know the results and we'll see what that tells us.
Thank you for your speedy reply Alan. It was a cookie issue. This was not on the server but on my localhost (Mac, Unix) and clearing all browser cookies since the beginning of time solved this issue so obviously it was some kind of cookie conflict that wasn't remedied. The php.ini file on my localhost had session.cookie_lifeteime already set to 0 so that reminded me of the browser cache. Thanks for your speedy reply although it does make it more apparent to me to use "Have you cleared your browser cache yet, have you restarted the browser, have you restarted your computer" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtXtIivRRKQ
I am facing issue with redirection of admin page to login page and login page to admin page in un-interaptable loop.
This problem happens when I login to SugarCRM and go directly to Administration panel. Though I login and re-login and go to Admin panel this thing continues. To stop this problem I have to restart browser.
In above scenario this problem does not happen on regular bases.
Yeah, clear your browser cache. If it just happened, you may be able to get away with just clearing the last few hours but sometimes you have to go back a few days.
