We are using SugarCRM 6.5 Professional

While at UnCon I learned about that  the Developer Mode and that it wasn't  doing as much as it should in 6.5. I noticed that our production instance of SugarCRM has DeveloperMode selected.  I did a little testing and felt pretty comfortable about turning it off.  I few days later I had a complaint from users that one of the custom modules was displaying the same value for some fields no matter what record.  The edit view worked just fine, and even though the wrong value was showing up in the detailview the correct value was still in edit view and detail view.

I want to know what kind of customization would cause this problem and where I can fix it so we can make Production faster.
