Removing Session File From Server on Browser Close

I am using sugar 6.5.20.

I am trying to find out currently logged in users on the crm. My approach is to cross check session files in the server with session id stored in tracker table.

Problem I am facing is, If a user doesn't explicitly logs out and just closes the browser, his session file is not destroyed in the server immediately. However, closing the browser is end of session as per sugarcrm.

Why is session file not getting destroyed then? Or is there a better way to find online users ?
