how can we assign a module to a group?

There are 2 main ways to do this. You can go to any record, such as a Contact, and there will be a Security Groups subpanel where you can add/remove groups. Or you can go to the list view for a module and select which records to update. Then down in the Mass Assign subpanel chose which group to add or remove for those selected records.
If you have a more advanced need or are doing a one-time setup of existing data then you may need to do it directly in the database.
