Remove extra 0's on Quote/Invoice Template

Invoice and Quote pdf template modifications and customization. Using SugarCRM 7.2 - Professional.

I read in the documentation how to remove extra zero's on the quantity line but using that same method does not remove the extra decimal places.

What I want:

Unit cost - no decmial

Discounted Price - no decimal places

Discount - When I put it in as 5%, I want it to show that way and not add the .00 to the end of it.  If I enter 5.25% I want all of it to show.

If I enter in dollar amount, i.e. 5600 it spits out 5,600.000000.  It calculates all of the totals correctly but just looks terrible on the pdf it generates.

I've found documentation on the smarty modifiers and think I have the right code to use but when I apply it doesn't work.  Maybe I'm just plugging the code in, incorrectly?

Relatively new to Sugar with no background in coding.  Figuring it out as I go.  I'm a sales guy trying to help the company streamline our Sugar processes.  I know my way around Sugar fairly well but I'm no developer.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
