We would like to transfer the task of creating/editing users out of the system administrators role. We would like an office administrator role like HR or someone similar to manage the users of our Sugar CE 6.5 system.
However as far as we know, only admin users can edit/create users in SugarCRM and we do not want to assign this role to HR for example, as they would get access to sensible screens we would not like them to touch..
Is it possible to allow a non admin user to get access to edit/create in the Employees screen in SugarCRM CE v6.5?. Our alternative is to create a custom module that would act as a "mirror" of the employees/users. So the users are managed in this custom module, and all changes are applied to the Users module by logic_hooks (create/edit/list...)
Any ideas about how to solve this situation?. I think this can be a normal business situation for other people.
