How to stop multiple "from" email address on compose screen?

Hello all.

I'm running SugarCRM 6.5 CE.  I have configured outgoing email in the system admin panel and configured email in my user settings.

When composing a message there is now a drop down to select the from address (see screenshot).  Not only is this confusing for the user but the one labelled "My Settings" does not work.  When trying to send messages from the "my settings" account, sent items are not saved in the IMAP sent mail folder on the mail server.

Any suggestions on how to have only the non "my settings" address appear in the from field?
