Can integer fields be auto incremented through Studio?

If you take a look at the following SugarCRM CE help page:

http://support.sugarcrm.com/02_Documentation/01_Sugar_Editions/05_Sugar_Community_Edition/Sugar_Comm...

you might notice that it talks about Auto Increment Next Value under Creating and editing fields section. It uses as an example the idea of creating a bug number or a case number. In fact, if you go to Studio and look for Cases module, you will find such a field like this, that, effectively, has a property named Auto Increment Next Value.

But if you create a custom integer field, you are not allowed to set the Auto Increment property for the field... because the property is not shown!

In this old SugarCRM forum thread, the man who puts the question says he can do this.

http://forums.sugarcrm.com/f3/dtabase-failure-please-refer-sugarcrm-log-details-82430-print/?pp=40

In the same thread another guy explains how to achieve the idea of having an auto incremented integer field by tweaking a little bit the code and the database. Although he does not say it, my guess is that the first man had already modified the code in order to make the property visible.

So, my questions:

1) Has this property been available in Studio in the past but no longer it is?

2) Why does it appear in SugarCRM help? Just to let you know that you might find it in some specials fields decided by SugarCRM (case number and so on)?

I am working with SugarCRM CE 6.5.11.

Thank you very much!

Jaume
