imagick and sugarcrm 6.5

Question asked by domenico domenico on Nov 10, 2014

I'd like to generate an image in response to an action, but adding this code to controller or a view doesn't work ( Blank page, blank image and Chrome inspecting response says: "Failed to load response")
header('Content-type: image/jpeg');
$image = new Imagick('myImage.jpg');
$image->thumbnailImage(100, 0);  echo $image;
This snippet works fine if not in sugarcrm's stack. I'm wondering how to generate an image or binary data as response.

Any ideas?
