I am using an iPad 3 but have also tested with a Nexus tablet - I like them both, so to me this is a preference of what you're comfortable with in terms of size of screen and weight of device. We're releasing SugarCRM Mobile v2.3 in the next month in which we're adding enhancements to detect your screen size, etc, and based on that information, show you the appropriate view. An example of this is that on my phone I might just see one screen at a time as I drill in to a contact, etc. but for the same record being viewed on the the iPad 3, I would see multiple panels at once as I drill into the data. The tablet view is going to show more data and as we improve it, will be more like the desktop experience.
Here is information from our support site regarding the supported platforms for Mobile for our current release -
For v2.3 which will be released in the next month or so, we've made these changes -
Support for iOS 7.1 and above
Support for Android 4.1 and above
We are starting to test with iOS 8 but are not yet fully supporting it. We will be soon.
I hope this helps!
