Setup User Profile - cannot proceed

When an newly created logs in for the first time, they are required to 'setup your user profile' in which you are required to confirm your First name, Surname, Email and phone details and click next. However, when clicking next, the screen remains unchanged and does not move to the next step in the process. (Version 7.1.6 - Sales force automation application).

Anyone know the cause and more importantly the solution.
