Opportunity is not being saved once changed on contract record

Stack:
SugarCRM 7.2.0 Professional
Ubuntu 
PHP 5.3.10
Apache 2.2

Steps to replicate:
Create an account.
Go to this created account and create an opportunity from the subpanel and name it "test opportunity".
Go to this created opportunity and create a contract. 
Go to this created contract and select edit. 
Change the opportunity name to another opportunity name found in the system.
Click save.

Expected behavior:
You are being redirected to the contract's DetailView.
Contract should contain the new opportunity name.

Actual behavior:
You are being redirected to the contract's DetailView.
Opportunity name is still set to "test opportunity" (the old opportunity name).

I have tried to delete our custom/ folder and rebuilt cache. Problem still remains.

Can anyone else replicate this bug?
