"This module is not available on this server" when trying to access custom module via API

Hi,

I need to create a custom module which links, many to one to leads. I have done this, added the custom fields and altered the layout. The package publishes and deploys without error and from my code I can see the module by using GetAvailableModules. However, when I try to add a new entry or try to read it using GetEntityList I am told that "This module is not available on this server". I have tried with versions 6.4.4, 6.4.6 and 6.5.16, all with the same result.

I am using the community edition and am accessing it via CandyWrapper using VB.NET

Is there something  that I should be doing that I am missing to allow this object to be exposed?

Thanks in advance for you help,

Richard.
