Sugar Mobile 11.0 is now available for download on iOS and Android devices.

 

At SugarCRM, we consider data security and the protection of your private information our highest priority. This latest release includes important security updates. As part of our ongoing security review process, we have recently detected a security vulnerability:

To minimize potential risks, this issue has been investigated and addressed in this updated release.

 

Following our investigations, we have no indication that the vulnerability was exploited. However, all Sugar Mobile users are strongly encouraged to upgrade through the phone or tablet’s native upgrade functionality. Alternatively, upgrades can be performed by searching for “Sugar Mobile” in the application store for your device or using the following links:

This release also addresses issues identified in prior releases of SugarCRM Mobile. More details about this update may be found through the following release notes:

Sugar Mobile 11.0 is compatible with Sugar 8.0 and above. Please review the Mobile Supported Platforms page for more information about device compatibility.

 

Mobile Developers

Sugar Mobile SDK version 11.0.512-1.4.2-2 is now available for Sugar Mobile developers to extend the capabilities of the Sugar Mobile app and distribute their custom apps through the Apple App Store, Google Play store, or, for ease of distribution and control, through an MDM.

 

This version of the SDK adds 64-bit support for the Android app. Mobile developers are strongly encouraged to upgrade and rebuild custom applications created with MACs or the SDK to include the fix for Security Advisory sugarcrm-sa-2019-048 as described above. More information on the changes in this release of the SDK can be found in the Mobile SDK Release Notes 11.0.512-1.4.2-2. Installation and usage documentation for this can be found on the Mobile SDK page in the Support portal and at the following links:

 

This latest Mobile SDK is available for Sugar customers or Sugar OEM Partners (for use and distribution with their authorized OEM solution) running Enterprise or Ultimate editions of Sugar 8.0 or higher. Please review the Mobile Supported Platforms before customizing the SDK.

Mobile SDK 6.4.1 is Live

SugarCRM Mobile SDK version 6.4.1.490-1.4.2-2 is now available for Sugar Mobile developers.

 

Using the SugarCRM Mobile SDK, mobile developers can extend the capabilities of the SugarCRM Mobile app and distribute their custom apps through the Apple App Store, Google Play store, or, for ease of distribution and control, through an MDM.

 

More information on the changes in this release of the SDK can be found in the Mobile SDK Release Notes 6.4.1.490-1.4.2-2. Changes include an upgrade to Node.js from version 8.9.4 to version 10.15.0.

SugarCRM has released version 4.1.1 of Hint. Hint is a Relationship Intelligence service that scans the internet to provide detailed information about business contacts and companies. Data such as social media accounts, work information, company details and news are visible for Hint users based on only a name and email information. Users can also quickly import the enhanced data into Sugar with a single click.

The 4.1.1 version of Hint introduces compatibility with the upcoming Fall '18 release. More information about this change can be found in the Hint 4.1.1 Release Notes.

 

Customers hosted in the Sugar cloud will have their version of Hint upgraded to version 4.1.1 automatically. As of Hint Version 4.1, customers hosting their instance of Sugar on premise are no longer required to uninstall previous Hint packages as a part of the upgrade process. Hint is supported for use on Sugar versions 7.9.x and above. Please review the Supported Platforms for Hint before installing. Hint can be purchased by contacting your Sugar sales representative.

SugarCRM has released version 2.3.0 of the IBM Notes Plug-in.

 

This latest release includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • The plug-in's core functionality has been streamlined to focus on syncing events and contacts, archiving emails, and linking Notes documents with Sugar records.
  • The SugarCRM Actions menu has been redesigned for contextual relevance. For example, when reading your email in Notes, only options relevant to emails will be available in the Sugar actions menu.
  • Marking a Notes document for sync will now sync it with Sugar instantly instead of waiting for the next sync to occur.
  • Choosing to unmark a Notes document from sync will now prompt the user to decide if they want to delete the synced record from Sugar.
  • Linking a Notes document with a Sugar record is no longer a requirement when archiving an email or syncing a contact or event to Sugar.

 

Sugar Plug-in for IBM Notes 2.3.0 also addresses issues identified in prior releases of the IBM Notes Plug-in. More information on the new features and enhancements as well as the fixed bugs can be found in the IBM Notes Plug-in 2.3.0 Release Notes.

Users can either download the plug-in from the Download Manager with an appropriate download key or by going to their user profile in the application and selecting the 'Downloads' tab. Please review the Supported Platforms for the Outlook Plug-in before installing.

SugarCRM Mobile 6.2.0 is now available for download on iOS and Android devices.

 

This latest SugarCRM Mobile release now allows users to create and modify Quotes, including the ability to build quoted line items. This functionality is supported for users connected to instances running Sugar Spring '18 (8.0) or higher. Users connected to prior releases of Sugar will still be able to leverage SugarCRM Mobile as expected, minus the quotes functionality. This release also includes fixes for issues identified in prior releases of SugarCRM Mobile.

Using the SugarCRM Mobile SDK, mobile developers can customize the SugarCRM Mobile app and distribute their custom apps through the Apple App Store or Google Play store or, for increased security and ease of distribution, through a private app store.

 

This release fixes an issue identified after the release of Mobile SDK 6.1.2.459-1.4.0-2 which would cause Android builds to fail. More information on this release of the SDK can be found in the Mobile SDK Release Notes 6.1.2.459-1.4.1-2

Hint 4.0.1 address issues identified in prior releases. More information about this release, including details of fixes to can be found in the Hint 4.0.1 Release Notes. To ensure that installed fixes take effect after upgrading your Hint installation, all users should clear their browser cache and then log out and back into Sugar. A Quick Repair and Rebuild often resolves issues if other integrations are affected by the installation or upgrade of Hint.

Hint can be purchased by contacting your Sugar sales representative. If your instance is hosted in Sugar's cloud environment, Hint will automatically be installed after purchase. If your instance is hosted elsewhere, an admin user must download the Hint package and install it to your instance.
