SugarCRM has released versions 9.0.3 and 8.0.6 for all editions and are available for download to on-site customers. At SugarCRM, we consider data security and the protection of your private information our highest priority. This latest release includes important security updates. As part of our ongoing security review process, we have recently detected security vulnerabilities and, to minimize potential risks, those issues have been investigated and addressed in this updated release.

Following our investigations, we have no indication that the vulnerabilities were exploited. However, administrators are strongly encouraged to upgrade their Sugar instances running the 9.0.2 or 8.0.5 versions of Sugar or prior to 9.0.3 or 8.0.6 to prevent potential exploitation of these weaknesses.

 

If you host your instance on-site (in any environment outside of the SugarCloud environment), please carefully review the following instructions and take the actions outlined below at the earliest opportunity. Failure to take these actions could leave you exposed to malicious attacks. No action is needed for instances hosted on Sugar Cloud as these vulnerabilities have already been remedied per Sugar Cloud policy.

 

Please visit our Download Manager to download the latest patch for your release, 9.0.3 or 8.0.6, which address these vulnerabilities. Our Installation and Upgrade Guide contains the appropriate guidance to apply these patches to your instance.

 

If upgrading now is not an option, please open a case with our support team to request a hotfix for the security vulnerabilities. We will then supply a module loadable package that can be applied to your current version and edition of Sugar. Please note that we will only supply hotfixes for supported versions. With the unprecedented effects of COVID-19 felt by our global community, we'd like to notify you that we are extending security support for all Sugar Enterprise and Professional instances on version 8.0.x, through October 30, 2020.

 

In previous communications, we shared an End-of-Support date of April 30, 2020; however, due to recent events, we have made the decision to extend the 8.0 security support window. We understand the rapidly evolving challenges that many businesses are now facing, and we make this decision to provide the utmost support to our community as we remain unwavering in our dedication to our customers' success.

 

If you are in the process of upgrading to a supported version, we recommend that you stay the course. A supported version will benefit your business by diminishing the level of effort required for continuous fixes, enhancements and security updates. While we are extending the services, we still urge you to upgrade as soon as possible if you have not begun the process. Sugar Mobile 18.0 is now available for download on iOS and Android devices.

 

This release introduces the Processes dashlet to Sugar Mobile, allowing users to approve, reject, and route SugarBPM processes from their mobile device. More details about this update may be found through the following release notes:

Sugar Mobile 18.0 is compatible with Sugar 8.0 and above. Please review the Mobile Supported Platforms page for more information about device compatibility.

 

All existing installations of Sugar Mobile will be upgraded through the phone or tablet’s native upgrade functionality. Alternatively, upgrades can be performed by searching for “Sugar Mobile” in the application store for your device or using the following links:

Sugar Mobile SDK version 18.0.534-1.4.2-2 is now available for Sugar Mobile developers to extend the capabilities of the Sugar Mobile app and distribute their custom apps through the Apple App Store, Google Play store, or, for ease of distribution and control, through an MDM.

 

This version of the SDK corresponds to the production version of Sugar Mobile 18.0. More information on this release of the SDK can be found in the Mobile SDK Release Notes 18.0.534-1.4.2-2. Installation and usage documentation for this can be found on the Mobile SDK page in the Support portal and at the following links:

 

This latest Mobile SDK is available for Sugar customers or Sugar OEM Partners (for use and distribution with their authorized OEM solution) running Enterprise or Ultimate editions of Sugar 8.0 or higher. Please review the Mobile Supported Platforms before customizing the SDK.
