SugarCRM has released version 2.6.1 of the Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook.


This latest release includes the ability to auto-archive outgoing emails to Sugar contacts or leads listed as recipients in the BCC field.


Sugar Plug-in for Microsoft Outlook 2.6.1 also addresses issues identified in prior releases of the Outlook Plug-in. More information on the new functionality as well as issues addressed in this update can be found in the MS Outlook Plug-in Release Notes 2.6.1.

Users can either download the plug-in from the Download Manager with an appropriate download key or by going to their user profile in the application and selecting the 'Downloads' tab. Please review the Supported Platforms for the Outlook Plug-in before installing.

7.9 End-of-Life

Sugar 7.9 will reach its End-of-Life (EOL) date on November 15th, 2018, meaning SugarCRM will no longer be providing customer support, maintenance patches, or bug fixes for 7.9. All customers deployed On-Premise and still using Sugar 7.9 in production should consider one of the following options at this time:

  • Migrate to Sugar Cloud prior to the End-of-Life date. All requests to migrate to Sugar Cloud must be submitted by November 15th, 2018.
  • Upgrade to version 8.0 (with the current patch being 8.0.1 at the time of this post), which will be supported until October 31, 2019, with an optional 12 months of extended support available for purchase. Sugar 9.0 will be released in Spring 2019.
  • Purchase extended support for version 7.9, which extends support through November 15, 2019. This will ensure customers running 7.9 beyond November 15th, 2018 will be eligible to receive critical security fixes. Please reach out to your SugarCRM sales representative for additional details about this program or send an email to

SugarCRM is pleased to announce that version 4.8.0 of the Customer Journey Plug-in is now available.


This latest release includes the following new features and enhancements:

  • Support for the newly released Fall '18 (8.2) release of Sugar.
  • New Momentum functionality allows admins to define the optimal time-to-complete between activities and stages. The performance standards can then be used to gauge how efficiently the journey is moving toward completion.
  • Show or hide options in the actions menu for stages and activities at the Customer Journey Template level. This allows the admin to decide, for example, whether users can mark activities "Not Applicable" or delete stages and activities from an in-progress journey.
